Health District Extends Hours at Two Clinics

The Southern Nevada Health District is extending the hours at two clinics in southern Nevada starting on Monday.

The East Las Vegas Public Health Center will be open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m to 5:30 p.m. The clinic offers nursing services which include immunizations, health card services, and vital records which is birth and death certificates.

The health district is also extending hours at the Henderson Public Health Center to 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Nursing and health card services will be offered through that center as well. The centers will not offer those services on Friday.

“When we have clinics after hours, we find that many clients are happy that they can come to the health district to get shots for their kids after 4:30 p.m. By extending our hours, we will be able accommodate clients who can’t make it during more traditional hours,” said Bonnie Sorenson, director of nursing.

Also, starting Monday people can get health card services at the Cambridge Community Outreach Center from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

All services including immunizations, vital records, health cards, and environmental health services are always available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the main Health District Clinic on Shadow Lane
