UPDATE: 1 killed, 4 injured in shooting; police believe suspects were randomly shooting at victims while driving through Henderson

HENDERSON, Nev. (KLAS) — What began as a 911 call about a shooting in the 800 block of East Lake Mead Parkway early Thursday morning, led to a homicide investigation and several other shots fired calls across the City of Henderson.

Officers arrived at the scene of the original call just before 1 a.m.

Once on the scene, Henderson Police found a 22-year-old man deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. They also located a 23-year-old woman, an 18-year-old man, a 53-year-old man and a 41-year-old man all suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The four surviving victims were all taken to the hospital and are expected to live.

Police say it is believed the suspects were driving around the city randomly shooting at people with no apparent motive. Following the deadly shooting, dispatchers received several other calls from various places across Henderson, with callers saying they had been shot at, also.

Those suspects, a man and a woman, were later located and taken into custody for unrelated charges by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

Henderson Police say this is still an active investigation
