Security guard reportedly fires gun at credit union robbery suspect

A security guard at a credit union in southwest Las Vegas reportedly fired his gun at a suspect during an attempted robbery, Metro Police said.

The incident happened around 11 a.m. in the 6000 block of S. Durango Drive near Patrick Lane.

According to police, the suspect was a white male in his 30's wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and possibly a mask. The security guard shot at the suspect twice and may have hit him.

It's possible the suspect is being treated at a local hospital.

The suspect was gone when police arrived at the scene.
