Fire Station Open House Planned for Saturday

The Clark County Fire Department is opening one of its fire stations to the public for an open house. Fire Station 20 at 5865 Judson Avenue will host a community fair and pancake breakfast from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday.

Community businesses, organizations and county departments will be at the fair to talk with the public and provide information. Some of the organizations expected to be at the fair include Metro Police, Clark County School District Police, NV Energy and Southwest Gas. Fingerprinting for children’s identity cards will be available during the fair.

“This fair and pancake breakfast gives the community the opportunity to come see and meet the firefighters working in their neighborhood,” Fire Chief Bertral Washington said. “At the Clark County Fire Department we are always striving to be a good neighbor and community partner.”

The fire department says that anyone coming for the pancake breakfast should plan on arriving early because they may run out.

Fire Station 20 serves Nellis Avenue area from Lake Mead Boulevard to Craig Road including neighborhoods along Sunrise Mountain. The station typically responds to more than 4,000 emergency calls every year.
