The Clark County Fire Department will host its first open house of the year at Fire Station 23 at 4250 East Alexander Road near Lamb Boulevard.

The event will be from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, February 2.

The open house will include representatives from Safe Kids Coalition, Southern Nevada Child Drowning Prevention Coalition, The American Red Cross, Clark County School District Police and Metro Police.

There will also be people there from various county agencies, including the District Attorney's Office and the Department of Business License.

The fire department will also have its safety house on site. The house teaches children how to get out of their homes safely in case of a fire.
