Fire Station Hosts Open House

The Clark County Fire Department is opening one of its fire houses to the public this weekend.

Fire Station 23 at Alexander Road near Lamb Boulevard will host an open house from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Community members will be able to tour the fire station and meet with community groups, nonprofits and representatives from local government.

Besides county fire crews, people from Safe Kids Coalition, Southern Nevada Child Drowning Prevention Coalition, Nevada Child Seekers and more will be there. There will also be representatives from Metro Police and Clark County School District Police.

The fire department will also have its fire safety house on scene, which teaches children how to get out of their homes safely.
