Fire Station Open House Set for April 12

The Clark County Fire Department, County Parks and Recreation and Clark County Commissioner Tom Collins are joining forces to host a pancake breakfast at Fire Station 20, near Nellis and Lake Mead boulevards, in April.

From 8:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 12, the commissioner, firefighters and parks department will be serving up breakfast for the community. People will get a chance to meet firefighters, talk with Commissioner Collins and learn important safety information. The focus of the open house will be drowning prevention.

There will also be representatives from Help Kids Clinic, which provides free dental and health screenings along with immunizations to children.

Nevada Child Seekers, United Way of Southern Nevada, Trauma Intervention Program, and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department will also be on hand. Community partners will be raffling off free gifts, including two bicycles.

The fire department hosts open houses with community partners every other month.
