Fugitive task force arrests murder suspect from Illinois

A man accused of murder in Illinois has been arrested in Las Vegas. The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Investigative Strike Team, or FIST, arrested 37-year-old Turhan Robinson near Charleston Boulevard and Christy Lane.

Robinson is wanted in connection with a deadly shooting and police chase in Venice, Illinois, which near St. Louis.

Robinson has been booked into the Clark County Detention Center pending his extradition to Illinois.

FIST is a permanent task force that brings together state, local and federal agencies to find dangerous and violent fugitives.

Metro Police looking for man who tried to rob store

Metro Police are looking for a man who tried to rob a business near Lake Mead and Hollywood boulevards.

According to police, the man walked into the business at around 8:15 p.m. May 7 and tried to take money from the register but couldn’t.

The man is described as being between 5 foot 8 and 6 foot and between 165 and 180 pounds. He has tattoos on his hands. He was wearing a ski mask, black hoodie and black pants.

Police searching for men in attempted murder, robbery

Metro Police are looking for two men who are wanted for attempted murder and robbery.

According to police, on May 4, the two men shot and then robbed a man, who was walking in the area of Washington Avenue and Nellis Boulevard.

The first man police are looking for is described as a black man between 5 foot 9 and 5 foot 11 and between 155 and 165 pounds with short, black dreadlocks. He was wearing a short sleeve, gray T-shirt with a white collar underneath, blue jeans and white shoes.

The second man police are looking for is described as a black man between 5 foot 11 and 6 foot 2 and between 165 and 180 pounds. He also has short, black dreadlocks. He was wearing a short sleeve, gray T-shirt with a white Nike symbol on the front and black shoes.

Man arrested in 2012 murder

Man arrested in 2012 murder

A man is under arrest in connection with a murder that happened two years ago near downtown Las Vegas.

Police arrested Jessie Arredondo on charges of murder with a deadly weapon.

According to police, Arredondo shot and killed Daniel Garcia August 15, 2012 at the El Paso Market near Owens Avenue and Pecos Road.

Witnesses told police that the suspect and two other men talked to the victim and asked him where he was from. When he answered "Blythe", the suspect shot him several times, police said.

A warrant was issued for Arredondo's arrest shortly after the murder in 2012.

However, he wasn't arrested until recently in San Diego. He waived extradition and was returned to Las Vegas. Arredondo was booked into the Clark County Detention Center Thursday.

 

 

 

 

Woman shot at Las Vegas apartment, gunman sought

LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Police say a woman is hospitalized and a gunman is sought after a shooting at a northeast Las Vegas apartment complex.

Officer Larry Hadfield says the woman was taken to University Medical Center and police were searching for her assailant after the incident about 1:15 p.m. Wednesday at a complex near Nellis and Las Vegas boulevards.

The woman's condition wasn't immediately known.

Hadfield says police aren't sure yet what led to the shooting.

Metro Police are searching for a man in connection with a robbery at a convenience store near U.S. 95 and Eastern Avenue.

According to police, the suspect walked into the store on March 12, pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money and cigarettes. The cashier gave him money and he left.

The suspect is described as a black man about 5 foot 9 and 170 pounds. He has brown eyes, black hair that is in braids and a medium complexion. He was wearing a gray-and-black plaid hoodie, multi-color plaid pants and he was carrying a dark-colored hand gun.

Police Looking for Three Men in Store Robbery

Metro Police are searching for three men involved in a robbery at a business near Pecos Road and Carey Avenue.

According to police, the men walked into the business at around 12:40 p.m. January 31. One of the men got merchandize from the store and came to the counter as if he was going to pay.

Instead, the other two suspects attacked the clerk, police said. He was pushed to the ground and punched in the face. The men then ran from the store with the items.

The first man is described as an Hispanic man about 30 years old, 5 foot 7, 170 pounds and bald. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt with an Oakland Raiders logo on the front, black shorts and black shoes.

The second man is a Hispanic man also 30 years old, 5 foot 7 and 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hat, a black sweatshirt, white sweatpants and black shoes.
