Police Search for Two Men Involved in Robbery

Metro Police are looking for two men who stole an alcoholic beverage from a store earlier this month.

According to police, the two men walked into the store near Nellis Boulevard and Eastern Avenue on November 12. The first man selected an alcoholic beverage and took it to the register. The man distracted the clerk, grabbed the liquor and fled the store.

When the clerk went after him, he was confronted outside by both suspects and both were armed, police said. The clerk returned to the store.

Both are described as black men between the ages of 18 and 25 years old. The first man is between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-9 and 150 and 160 pounds with black hair. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a purple and yellow Los Angeles Lakers hat, black jacket, black T-shirt, dark jeans and white shoes. He had a large diamond in his left ear, a thin mustache and goatee.

Victim from Friday's Deadly Shooting Identified

 

The Clark County Coroner's Office has identified the man who was shot and killed early Friday morning.

The victim is Kamau Griffin, 22, of Las Vegas. The cause of death is multiple gunshot wounds. The manner of death is homicide.

The shooting happened just before 12:30 a.m. November 9 at an apartment complex near Las Vegas Boulevard and Pecos Road. When officers responded, they found Griffin dead in his apartment.

According to police, Griffin had gone to rear of his apartment to investigate a noise. Police say someone outside the apartment fired several shots through the window, killing Griffin.

Marshals Look for People in Connection with Burglarized Car

 

The city of Las Vegas Deputy City Marshal Unit is looking for three people in connection with a car burglary at a city park.

The incident happened July 16 at Gary Reese Freedom Park. The car was parked at the Field of Dreams sports complex which is inside the park at 850 North Mojave Road.

The thieves were able to get away with items inside the car including credit cards. The cards were used at several different convenience stores in the area of Charleston and Lamb Boulevards.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the Deputy City Marshal Investigators at 229-3223. The three people in the pictures are persons of interest in this case and have not been named as suspects by the marshal’s office.

Coroner ID's Man Found Dead in Desert Area

The Clark County Coroner's Office has identified the man who was the victim of a homicide last week.

The victim is 19-year-old Daniel Dean Way of Las Vegas. According to police, Way was found Friday in a desert area near Los Feliz Street and Bonanza Road by a woman walking her dog.

Now police are looking for more information about Way, including where he lived, his family, friends or associates, where he worked and any information about his activities leading up to August 17.

Police are also looking for a truck in connection with the case. It is a silver or gray late-model Chevrolet or GMC extended-cab four-wheel drive pickup truck with a raised suspension system and a loud exhaust. Witnesses saw the pickup leaving the area of Loz Feliz Street and Bonanza Road at about 4 a.m., on the day Way's body was found.

Police Search for Suspect in Bank Robbery

Metro Police are searching for a man they say robbed a bank in the area of Las Vegas Boulevard and Fremont Street.

The crime happened Tuesday, August 7 just before 4 p.m.

Police say the suspect gave the teller a note demanding money. The teller gave the suspect money, and the man left the bank.

The suspect is described as a white man between 50 and 70 years old. He is 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 and between 160 and 170 pounds. He has a full blond or gray beard that reaches to the middle of his chest. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a tan hat, dark shirt and light-colored pants.

Police Search for Witnesses in Deadly Robbery

Metro Police are looking for witnesses or other victims to come forward with information about a robbery that left one person dead.

The robbery happened around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, March 18 near the intersection of Marion Drive and Stewart Avenue. Police say the two suspects approached two victims and robbed them. During the robbery, one of the victims was hit with a gun while defending himself. That victim has now died. He has been identified as 21-year-old Willis Clark.

Police are now looking for anyone who may have seen anything that morning or who may have been a victim of a similar crime.

Police Need Help Finding Alleged Robber

 

Metro Police need help finding a man alleged to have robbed a store on April 18.

The man walked into the store in the 3600 block of Las Vegas Blvd. North and threatened the clerk with a handgun and demanded cash. He fled immediately after.

The suspect is described as a black man between 20 and 30 years old, 5-foot-11 and between 180 and 200 pounds. He wore a black hooded sweatshirt with gray lining  and white design on the chest, blue jeans, one white glove, black shoes and a white bandana covering the lower portion of his face.
