Police Search for Robbery Suspects

Metro Police are looking for help in tracking down the suspects in an armed robbery at a local park.

Officers say the victim was sitting in a park near Lamb Boulevard and Colorado Avenue just before 9 p.m. on September 16. The suspects approached the man and pointed a gun at him. They demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied and the suspects ran.

A few days later, two women used the victim’s debit card at a convenience store on North Lamb Boulevard. Detectives are looking for any information about the women or the suspects.

The suspects are both Hispanic men. The first is between 17 and 20 years old, 5-foot-6, and 160 to 165 pounds. He was armed with a black handgun. The second suspect is between 16 and 19 years old, 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-5, and 160 pounds.

Police Search for Shooting Suspect

Metro Police searched an area near Pecos Road and Las Vegas Boulevard Thursday afternoon for a suspect involved in a shooting.

Officers were called to the area after a person arrived at North Vista Hospital with a gun shot wound. Police set up a perimeter at 2800 N. Pecos Road but broke it down just after 2 p.m., when nothing was found.

The victim was moved from North Vista Hospital to University Medical Center but there is no word on his or her condition. Police believe the shooting is related to gang activity.

Metro Police are searching for two men that robbed a store near Desert Inn Road and Sandhill.

The robbery happened on Monday. The pair walked into the store armed with handguns and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. Police believe the two men are connected to two other similar business robberies in recent weeks. 

The men wore either pantyhose or ski masks so the descriptions are vague. Eyewitnesses say they're black males, in their 20's with thin to average builds. Police Search for Bank Robbery Suspect

Metro Police are searching for a man that robbed a bank near Charleston Boulevard and North Lamb Boulevard.

The robbery happened on August 12. Police say the man walked into the bank, told everyone in Spanish to get down on the ground, showed the teller a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money. The teller gave the suspect a bag of cash and the man left. Police think this may be the same man who robbed a bank just down the block on Charleston Boulevard on August 5.

The suspect is described as an Hispanic man, 30 to 40 years old, 5 foot 8 inches tall with a heavy build. At the time of the robbery the man was wearing a blue baseball cap, a light blue polo shirt and sunglasses. Metro Police are searching for a man who robbed a store near Walnut Road and Lake Mead Boulevard.

The crime happened in the early morning hours of July 2. Police say the suspect walked into the store, put a bandanna over his face, pulled out a pistol and demanded money. The employees complied. The suspect fled the scene.

Las Vegas Man Charged with Murder

Las Vegas Man Charged with Murder

A 19-year-old Las Vegas man is under arrest charged with murder for the stabbing death of another young man on Tuesday night.

Metro Police were called to an apartment near Boulder Highway and Tropicana Avenue just after 10 p.m., on a report that someone had been stabbed. When they got to the scene officers found a juvenile who had been stabbed several times. He was rushed to Sunrise Medical Center where he died.

Police say the whole thing started when two groups of people got into an arguement and the victim was stabbed. The suspect, Charles Bernard Smith, had fled the scene on foot. The responding officers arrested him not far from the crime scene. He's being charged with murder with a deadly weapon and a probation violation.

The identity of the victim hasn't been released yet.
