Man Killed at Senior Living Center Identified | News

LAS VEGAS -- The Clark County Coroner's office has identified a man who was shot to death at a senior living center as 54-year-old Ronald Wayne Mattox.
Investigators say the shooting happened Saturday afternoon at the Bonanza Pines Senior Living Center near Bonanza Road and Lamb Boulevard. Mattox's elderly mother, Betty, was also shot and is hospitalized.
Metro police arrested Roger Foley, who also lived at the senior center complex. According to the police report, Foley told police he was on his way to do some target shooting when he got into a confrontation with Mattox in the apartment hallway. Foley told police he feared for his life so he shot Mattox several times.
Betty Mattox told police that her son, Ronald, was in the hallway testing his remote controlled helicopter. She said she heard him arguing with Foley. She told police she was shot by Foley when she opened her apartment door.
Foley is facing charges of murder and attempted murder.
