2 teens hurt in 'car surfing' incident

LAS VEGAS - Two teens suffered injuries after a car surfing accident early Friday morning.

Metro Police said the accident occurred shortly before 5 a.m. near Sahara Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard. Police said a 19-year-old male and an 18-year-old male were on the trunk of the car when they fell off the vehicle.

The driver, Alexandria Garcia, 19, was booked for DUI. The group had left a party shortly before the accident.

According to police, one of the teens suffered extremely critical injuries. The other suffered non life-threatening injuries. Both were taken to University Medical Center.
