Mexican consulate to issue birth certificates
News

LAS VEGAS -- Mexican nationals living in Nevada can now get birth certificates at the consulate instead of traveling back to Mexico.

The consulate launched the "Act now and Apply for your Birth Certificate" program Thursday.

Right now the office is taking walk-ins, but starting in February, you will have to make an appointment.

To get a copy of the birth certificate, you must appear in person at any consular office with a valid ID and provide what's known as a CURP form.

The cost is $13.
