LAS VEGAS -- The woman accused of owning the dogs that attacked two people, leaving a woman severely injured, pleaded guilty in Clark County District Court Tuesday.

Jesse Vonstaden, 29, entered guilty pleas for having dangerous dogs and willful disregard for the safety of persons or property.

Defense attorney Todd Leventhal said Vonstaden will pay restitution to the 65-year-old woman who received critical arm, leg and facial injuries in the Feb. 20 attack and to a man who tried to fend off the dogs and suffered a hand injury.

One of Vonstaden's dogs was shot by police and the three other dogs were confiscated by Animal Control.

Vonstaden had been held on $40,000 bail. She will serve house arrest to care for her young daughter.

She could face up to five years in prison.
