Senator Harry Reid and Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper spoke briefly on the field at Nationals Park before Washington's game against Philadelphia. Reid tweeted this photo and message after the encounter:

Excited to meet Bryce Harper, fellow Nevadan & great baseball talent. Hope to see him hit one out tonight #nationals

Harper, a Las Vegas native who attended Las Vegas High School and the College of Southern Nevada, went 0-for-3 with three walks in Friday's 4-3 victory against the Phillies.
