RTC Looking for Improvement Input for Two Major Streets

The Regional Transportation Commission is looking for input on changes to a pair of heavily traveled roads in southern Nevada.

The RTC is studying Washington Avenue and Owens Avenue/Vegas Drive. The study will be looking at ways to improve transit, pedestrian and bicycling facilities along the road.

There will be two open houses for gather input.

  • 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19
  • Gibson Middle School
  • 3900 W. Washington Ave.
  • 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20
  • Rancho High School
  • 1900 Searles Ave.

Both streets stretch across the Las Vegas valley for nearly 25 miles and provide a east/west access from Summerlin to Sunrise Mountain.

If you cannot attend either open house, you can give input at rtcsnv.com.
