Photo Gallery | Dust Devils Cause Damage Across Valley

Multiple dust devils attached to a passing storm caused damage to buildings across southern Nevada on Monday afternoon.

The National Weather Service says there were dust devils Monday and conditions are ripe for more dust devils today. The service estimates winds at 55 to 70 miles per hour in Monday's dust devils -- approaching the strength of a Category 1 hurricane.

One business that suffered damage is the Family Dollar store near Eastern and Owens. High wind ripped open the store's roof and forced it to close until the damage can be assessed and repaired.
