Friends and family of a young woman, who was found dead in the street Sunday morning, remembered her at a viewing and funeral Thursday.

Seventeen-year-old Alexis Monasterio was found dead near Charleston Boulevard and Tree Line Drive just after midnight. 

Police say she was hit by a car that left the scene of the crash. Her family disputes that account. They say she was thrown from a moving car.
